Williamson Osborn Gibson was a Baptist preacher. The attendance at church was small. One Sunday when he finished his sermon he told the congregation that the next Sunday Mr. Osborn would preach. So the next Sunday a good crowd turned out to hear Mr. Osborn preach. Grandpa Gibson got up and told them that he was Mr. Osborn, his full name being Williamson Osborn Gibson.
Spikes, Ingrams, Mocks, Shavers, and some the Hufsteadlers were relatives of ours, too. Isom Russell was my grandfather. He was a Judge (probably County, maybe District) and always went by the name of Judge Russell. ? R. Russell, who was Sheriff, was one of Tom Russell's boys. Tom was a cousin to us children. James G. Russell (to the best of my knowledge) was a brother to my grandfather Russell. Tom Foster's wife was a Russell (I think a daughter of this James G. Russell); anyway, she was an own cousin of my mother's.
